WHAT IS MDA (SASS / SASSY DRINK)?

MDA (3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine) is a psychedelic amphetamine and the parent compound of MDMA. It’s metabolized into MDMA in the body, but it’s also active on its own. MDA is more psychedelic, more stimulating, and more neurotoxic than MDMA — producing vivid visuals, strong euphoria, and intense physical stimulation. This particular drink contains 1000 mg MDA dissolved in 355 mL of liquid (about a standard can of soda). That’s an extremely high dose — a standard recreational dose of MDA is 80–160 mg. 1000 mg is 6–12 times a standard dose and is dangerously high, with a significant risk of severe toxicity, seizures, hyperthermia, and death.

EFFECTS

At 1000 mg, MDA produces overwhelming stimulation, intense euphoria, vivid psychedelic visuals, and severe physical strain. The come-up is rapid and aggressive — within 30–60 minutes, users experience spiking heart rate, dangerously high blood pressure, severe jaw clenching, sweating, and muscle tension. The peak is deeply psychedelic — users report colorful geometric patterns, visual distortions, and a sense of heightened meaning. However, at this dose, the physical toll is extreme — risk of hyperthermia, dehydration, hyponatremia, serotonin syndrome, seizures, and cardiac events is very high. The comedown is brutal — severe depression, exhaustion, cognitive fog, and potential permanent neurotoxicity.
