What is Cialis?

Cialis (tadalafil) is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor primarily prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and pulmonary arterial hypertension. It works by relaxing smooth muscles and increasing blood flow to specific areas of the body.

Effects

Cialis facilitates and enhances erections in the presence of sexual stimulation by increasing arterial blood flow. Unlike other PDE5 inhibitors like sildenafil (Viagra), it has a significantly longer duration of action. Common side effects include headaches, facial flushing, indigestion (acid reflux), nasal congestion, back pain, and muscle aches.

Oral Dosage (As-Needed Use)

Light: 2.5 – 5 mg

Common: 5 – 10 mg

Strong: 10 – 20 mg
